Doggie Daycare
Canine Corral is unlike other doggie daycare centers; we are a lmited daycare that requires reservations. This is to ensure all our dogs have similar play styles and each dog gets lots of individual attention. We strive to provide a safe, clean, fun, and stimulating social environment for our pack of dogs. Our outdoor play area is set-up so the dogs are able to play on an a-frame, run through tunnels, and over jumps. We even have a large play house with slides! During warmer weather, our pack gets to play in our pool! Extra one-on-one time and cookies are always free at our resort! We love each of our pack dogs and treat them as our own family members.
Our Program
What really sets us apart is we do not just supervise our dogs but we are always interacting with them in games of tug, playing fetch, and cuddles. We even work on different commands such as waits, sits, stays, downs, and recalls with the distraction of all the other dogs. Each dog gets at least 5 minutes of this type of training during the day. We also do not allow our dogs to play too ruff and make sure that daycare is just as relaxing as it is exciting! We make sure the energy level stays safe and watch dogs for any sign of it becoming too stimulated. We do not like our dogs uncomfortable at the Corral so we make sure owners know and come up with a plan to help them feel more at ease and enjoy their time with us!
The Evaluation
Your pets first day will be their evaluation where they will be temperament tested. The purpose is to see what your dog thinks of daycare! We will perform a series of small test to evaluate any guarding behaviors with food, toys, and people while evaluating their interactions with other dogs. We also want to make sure your dog will benefit from daycare because, unfortunately, not all dogs like daycare.
Each evaluation takes a different amount of time, but we require a minimum of 4 hours. We never rush a dog into our pack and don’t just watch to see what the new dog thinks of our pack, but what our pack thinks as well. We wait as long as needed for our pack to settle while the new dog to explore outside the gate. Our goal is for our new dog to have calm interest in our pack. We always use a clam dog to meet our new comers and strive to make the experience as positive as possible. |
